Alphabet LED Filament

This warm-white glowy letter is made out of COB (chip on board) LEDs, often seen in 'Edison-like' LED bulbs, arranged in different patterns to give a bright, warm lighting effect.

They're made of dozens of micro LED diodes that are bonded together on a stiff metal backing and then coated in silicone for protection. Even though the LEDs are only placed on one side, the PCB substrate is very thin so it glows out the back too (although a little dimmer)

Since the LEDs are in parallel, you only need 3V to light 'em up - we recommend current limiting with a resistor to let max 100mA through.

Please note that these are NOT flexible! However, they have a nice uniform glow all the way around and do an excellent job of mimicking a tungsten-like filament.

Arrange a group of them into words, their light weight means they can easily be glued to surfaces, sewn to fabric, or tied with fishing line. Because they're just a 'big long LED' you can PWM dim them easily.

Simply power up with 3V by connecting to both ends - the cathode negative side will have a little - symbol on the PCB. If it doesn't immediately light up, try connecting the other way around, no biggie. Compatible with Arcade Button Quick-Connect Wire Pairs - 0.11" (10 pack) or you can solder/clip to the tabs at the bottom.
