Resettable Fuses

Resettable Fuses

Safety first kids! Resettable fuses are used to protect against over current faults in electrical circuits providing an extra level of protection against shorts or miswiring.

Often placed on the power input of a circuit these fuses will 'trip' when you exceed their rated current limiting the potential for damage to other components.

When the current flowing through a resettable fuse exceeds the trip current it warms up and causes it's resistance to increase which reduces the flow of current through the circuit.
